The New York Mets are headed to the 2024 post-season, and Grimace is leading the way! On June 12, Grimace made an iconic appearance at Citi Field in Flushing, Queens. His ceremonial first pitch, however, was far from impressive, falling well short of home plate and missing the mark by a wide margin. Even though Grimace’s pitch missed the strike zone entirely, it turned out to be good luck. The New York Mets went on a seven game winning streak since the McDonald’s character threw the first pitch on his birthday. There’s even a dedicated purple Grimace seat at the stadium. It is located in section 302, row 6, seat 12 and is available for purchase for home games.
